I for one have definitely curbed my spending.
Why not just revisit my closets, drawers, etc and see if there are any hidden finds. You can't tell me that there are not shirts, pants, etc lost among your outfits.
With all of this sudden warm weather that we are having try looking through your sprint outfits. Pair up a spring colored shirt with a great cardigan or business jacket. Or a great pair of pants that you normally wear in the warmer weather with a sweater...or even long johns!!
Dont' knock them. You can buy inexpensive ones at Target and typically they are light weight and thin!
I have started wearing some of my three quarter length shirts/sweaters with a great scarf. This way if it gets cold, I can just wrap myself up in the scarf.
If you feel the need to get out and buy...but you want to stay within your budget, try
www.target.com. They really have some fantastic deals by designers like Izaac Mizrahi. I saw some unbelieveable shift dresses for under $25. And if you spend at least $50, you get free shipping!!

My Green Pitch...
52 Cheap ways to go green
Though it would be optimal to build an eco-friendly sustainable house, ditch your SUV and grow your own food, it's not a practical measure for most. However, you can take small inexpensive steps – even one a day – to live a more eco-friendly life. Jodi Helmer, author of The Green Year, gives you a fun to follow green guide that makes eco-friendly living easy. Here are 52 cheap ways to go green.
The Green YearJodi Helmer’s book The Green Year gives you 365 small inexpensive things you can do to make a big difference in saving the planet and making your home environment more eco-friendly. The book features a frugal tip a day plus a space you can write suggestions that are more practical for your lifestyle. In addition, each tip has an open circle that you get to fill in when you’ve done your green deed for the day. Whether you do the tips on the designated days or when it’s convenient for you, The Green Year gives you an easy to follow green guide that you can refer back to anytime during the year – and years to come. Here is one tip per week – pick up Helmer’s The Green Year for all of the cheap ways to go green.
52 Cheap ways to go green

In addition, take steps to create an eco-friendly workplace. 3. Clean your refrigerator coils – vacuum out the dust and wipe with a damp cloth. 4. Research options for carpooling. Need convincing? Support a green business. 8. Cancel your newspaper subscription and read the news online instead. 9. Buy rechargeable batteries. And here is what can you do with old batteries to properly dispose of the batteries you’ve used. 10. Use cloth napkins, instead of paper napkins, at dinner. And consider serving fair-trade wine. 11. Ask Thanksgiving or Christmas guests to bring reusable to-go containers to dinner. Cook a couple of vegetarian holiday dishes, too. 50. Invest in a roasting pan instead of using disposable ones. 51. I want to buy GREEN!!
GREEN
No matter what anyone says, the new and hopefully here to stay color is GREEN.
I have even found myself looking for clothes that are maybe organic or "vintage" or should we say lightly used. I have been looking for a new handbag for months, ...and I have found myself gravitating towards the "green sacks," or labels that offer "fake" leather.
Many of my friends like to buy Safe, Green clothes for their kids.
Try:
www.mygreencloset.com
I found a great website that offers to help those looking for green fashion alternatives:
www.greenloop.com
Homeward Bound located in Blue Back Square West Hartford CT offers a lot of green options. They carry this great handbag line Matt & Nat which offers vegan bags. www.mattandnat.com
I also found another website, materialgirlinc.com which offers some of the handbags on sale!!
